My name's Pete, and I'm not the fittest person in the world. Somehow, though, I've found myself preparing for a 10K run in May, 2011.

This blog previously charted my various fitness activities as a means of self-motivation. Now, it's going to chart my training for this event, and beyond.

Gym

Had to skip yesterday due to time constraints but I feel I made up for it today by upping the intensity. I bumped up all the weights by an additional 5kg, meaning that on the resistance machines I’m now lifting and/or pulling things that are 10kg heavier than when I first started.

Like the last time I upped the weight, it felt like I did when I first started - doable, but hard work by the last couple of reps of a set. According to trainer man at my first session, this is how it’s supposed to feel. So I guess there’s semi-scientific proof that I am actually stronger.

I’ve temporarily run out of podcasts to listen to - anyone have some recommendations?
