My name's Pete, and I'm not the fittest person in the world. Somehow, though, I've found myself preparing for a 10K run in May, 2011.

This blog previously charted my various fitness activities as a means of self-motivation. Now, it's going to chart my training for this event, and beyond.

Gym

Break yesterday. Back to it today, then back to work tomorrow so it will be easy to get back into the “after-work” habit.

Harder work again today. Felt tired shortly after getting onto the bike but pushed through to get an early second wind.

Muscle work was moderately challenging today, but knee lifts felt easy again. I forget which muscles that works but they’re obviously stronger now. It’s satisfying to see progress like that even when the weight loss slows down.

Jane came again today and spent some time on the bike and treadmill as her regular programme is exclusively muscle work and she wanted a change. She came out knackered but now seems a bit more lively after a spot of lunch!
