My name's Pete, and I'm not the fittest person in the world. Somehow, though, I've found myself preparing for a 10K run in May, 2011.

This blog previously charted my various fitness activities as a means of self-motivation. Now, it's going to chart my training for this event, and beyond.

Gym

Again! Jane came today after her insistence that I “make her go”.

Another good session. Actually felt easier than yesterday on the cardio equipment, except for the rowing which dragged a bit.

Weight work was particularly good for the most part today. I was particularly impressed with my knee raises today (harder than it sounds… hold on to two handles, “float” above the floor supporting yourself using only these handles, then raise and lower your legs/knees) which felt the easiest they’ve ever been, but which were one of the most difficult things to do when I first started.

Progress is good. Weight loss has slowed down as expected but I feel much stronger.
