My name's Pete, and I'm not the fittest person in the world. Somehow, though, I've found myself preparing for a 10K run in May, 2011.

This blog previously charted my various fitness activities as a means of self-motivation. Now, it's going to chart my training for this event, and beyond.

24 Push-Ups, 87 Sit-Ups

Christ. That sit-ups app doesn’t fuck around. I made the (possible) mistake of doing enough sit-ups in my initial test for it to put me on the hardest difficulty level, which means that I’m doing a surprisingly large amount of sit-ups each day, and it does seem to be increasing the number significantly each time, too.

Still, I’m managing to do it, even if my sit-up form is probably questionable.

As for push-ups, they’re definitely getting easier, and I feel that my form is better already. They’re still pretty tiring and brutally hard work by the end, but it’s all beneficial in the end. Plus I bet it’ll be pretty satisfying by the end of the programme… assuming I make it to the end!
